I definitely see where Trudy is coming from, and I agree about 90%. It is true that the Bible is inconclusive about many things; it's open to interpretation, it (almost) appears to contradict itself, it says things that are problematic and downright illogical. But I have to say that it is very clear on the one thing that it needs to be clear about: build a relationship with God! Does it really matter where people go when they die? Does it really matter if the Catholic church changed the day of worship from Saturday to Sunday? Does it really matter if God created the Earth in seven literal days? The list could go on, but you see my point. None of these issues matter at all unless they are connect to a person's own vital, thriving relationship with the One who makes them matter. (Ok, that last sentence sounded a little trite. Sorry.) I just think sometimes we make things more complicated than they need to be and weary ourselves worrying about details when all that really matters is if you are growing closer to God or pushing farther away from Him.
